Introduction To Improv: The latest batch of graduates from the MAC’s improvisation course put on and end-of-term performance, taking to the stage for the first time to show what they have learned to friends and family.
WEDS 15TH – INDIE LOUNGE
Improvabunga: In a world where Christmas movie plots are getting too predictable, one improv show dares to break the mould. You choose the subgenre, the setting and the title and they will do the rest, creating a totally improvised show brimming with all your favourite Christmas movie tropes. Featuring live musical accompaniment and four audience buzzers used to control the performers.
SAT 18TH – BIRMINGHAM HIPPODROME
Jumprov: Special Christmas show. Grab a ticket and join Jumprov, who identify as the UK’s first Black and Brown Improv group for a night of fun featuring live sketch comedy which is completely made up on the spot using suggestions from you, the audience.
FRI 31ST – THE GLEE CLUB
NYE Comedy Show: See in 2022 with the best comedians, excellent food, and an after party to remember. Featuring MC Hammersmith, the world’s leading freestyle rapper to ever emerge from the ghetto of middle class white west London, performing improvised hip hop comedy inspired entirely by audience suggestions.
WEDS 1ST – METRONOME
Dead British: Live recording of of a brand new improvised comedy interview show, where the interviewer knows the person from British history they are meeting, but the improviser has no idea who they are about to play. See three brand new episodes recorded in one evening for later broadcast in the new year on Union Jack Radio.
MON 6TH– BUNKERS HILL
The Cat’s Pyjamas: Audience members can sit back and enjoy a free comedy show or take the plunge to join the performers on stage.
THURS 9TH – BROADWAY CINEMA
Gorilla Burger: Theatre karaoke where you can be the star. Hugely supportive and tons of fun this is a delightful way for you to experience improvised comedy. At Gorilla Burger you can get up on stage whether you’ve played before or not.

Same Faces: Leicester’s best are delighted to be bringing you their unique blend of sketches, songs and one-liners once again. Expect brilliant comedy sketches live on stage, in the style of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”.

Improv Upstairs: A monthly showcase featuring guest sets from established improv troupes as well as a changing roster of local players. The Improv Upstairs Jam at the end of the night will pick people to take part at random – including audience members should you choose to put yourself forward.

Larklord: Weekly comedy show from Nottingham with a splendid selection of stand-up comedians, improvisers and actors performing a series of ridiculous tasks to impress the Larklord. Who will win?
TUES 7TH – UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK, COVENTRY
WITSMAS: Warwick Improvised Theatre Society have a special Christmas-themed performance full of their favourite games. Come to have fun, shout out suggestions and be a part of the show.
FRI 10TH – CORNBOW HALL, DUDLEY
Knightmare Live: The critically-acclaimed comedy stage adaptation of the cult TV show Knightmare. Featuring goblins, spinning blades, talking walls and even a DRAGON! Audience members get the chance to don the helmet and take on the dungeon – could YOU defeat Lord Fear?
