Box Of Frogs: Birmingham’s premiere Improv Group bring you a night of high-octane improvised comedy nonsense based entirely on your suggestions. Expect the unexpected as quick-witted players conjure up hilarious spontaneous songs, sketches and scenes on the spur of the moment.
WEDS 18TH – 1000 TRADES
Midlands Improv Night: Three Birmingham groups take the stage in a smorgasbord of improvised comedy. Behind The Headlines has two teams of comedians performing sketches based on recent news stories. Breakfast Of Champions starts with a guest speaker giving a monologue which then inspires a range of scenes. The Improlectuals create completely new comedy sketches on the spot, based entirely on audience suggestions.
FRI 20TH – BIRMINGHAM TOWN HALL
Paul Merton’s Impro Chums: Paul Merton, Richard Vranch, Suki Webster, Mike McShane and accompanist Kirsty Newton are back on the road in 2022 to visit some of their favourite parts of the UK with another evening of mind-blowing improvisation. The collective improvisational experience embodied in the Chums is a joy to behold. They flex their improvisational muscles to delight and entertain audiences in this country and abroad.
FRI 20TH – BIRMINGHAM BIERKELLER
This Is Your Trial: A five star award-winning comedy courtroom show where audience members can accuse friends and loved ones of ‘crimes’, petty, or not so much. The Judge is joined by guest comedians in roles of lawyers, hearing testimony, cross-examining witnesses and providing evidence, all on the spot. It’s then up to the audience as jury, to deliver the verdict.
WEDS 25TH – 1000 TRADES
Comedy Jam: Come and play your favourite improv games, take part in improvised scenes, sketches and songs, or just sit back and watch the fun. Suitable for all levels of experience, including complete beginners. Hosted by resident guests, Box of Frogs, with a different improv group invited to entertain in the first half.
SAT 28TH – GUILD OF STUDENTS
Improvabunga – The Improvised Movie Adventure: In a world where movie plots are getting too predictable, one improv show dares to break the mould. You choose the genre, subgenre, the setting and the title and they will do the rest, creating a totally improvised show brimming with all your favourite tropes. Featuring live musical accompaniment and four audience buzzers used to control the performers.
MON 2ND – BUNKERS HILL
The Cat’s Pyjamas: Audience members can sit back and enjoy a free comedy show or take the plunge to join the performers on stage.
WEDS 4TH – NONSUCH STUDIOS
It’s A Trap! The Improvised Star Wars Show: Exploring untold stories of the Star Wars universe, packed with Jedi, jokes and jawas. A handful of audience suggestions creates a unique episode of Star Wars right before your eyes. This improv show complements and breaks the canon in unexpected and ingenious ways! If you like truly geeky, hilarious entertainment – this IS the show you’re looking for.
THURS 12TH – MALT CROSS
Gorilla Burger: Theatre karaoke where you can be the star. Hugely supportive and tons of fun this is a delightful way for you to experience improvised comedy. At Gorilla Burger you can get up on stage whether you’ve played before or not.
TUES 17TH – THE LORD ROBERTS
The Clones: With no script, no staging and only a pair of chairs for a set, they spin a simple audience suggestion into a hilarious, spontaneous one-act play. Plots and sub-plots galore, and a whole cast of characters effortlessly juggled by the veteran improvisers. This is comedy theatre like you’ve never seen it before. You will laugh, you may cry… Who knows what’ll happen? They sure don’t.
WEDS 18TH – THE PLAYWRIGHT
Smash Night: Give your laughter muscles a work out with three great acts from Nottingham and beyond performing hilarious scenes and games for your amusement. Based on YOUR suggestions these funny performers will spontaneously create never to be seen again comedy sketches you won’t want to miss.
SAT 28TH – SQUIRE PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE
Spontaneous Potter: Grab your wands, don your house robes, and apparate yourselves to Nottingham for a very magical improv show. This Unofficial Improvised Parody is an entirely original Harry Potter comedy play, based on an audience suggestion of a fanfiction title. An entirely new Potter adventure is magically improvised on the spot – with live musical accompaniment.
SAT 7TH – INTERNATIONAL ARTS CENTRE
The Same Faces: A unique blend of sketches, songs and one-liners, taking suggestions from you to form brilliant comedy sketches live on stage. The team of regular improvisers will be joined by some of the best guest performers in the land.

Paul Merton’s Impro Chums: Another visit to the Midlands from the Chums, whose collective improvisational experience is a joy to behold. They continue to be the finest exponents of the improv art.
TUES 3RD – TEMPERANCE CAFE, LEAMINGTON SPA
The Elephant In The Room: Leamprov, the premier improvised comedy troupe in Leamington, are proud to bring you a comedy show that’s never been seen before, and will never be seen again. Why? The elephant in the room is that we have no idea what the show will be about! Bumper Blyton: A riotous improvised parody chock full of innuendo and lashings of puns, in the style of the Nation’s favourite author, Enid Blyton. Cast yourself back to your childhood in a show that’s utterly unique and spontaneous with a satirical take on favourites including The Famous Five and Mallory Towers.

Dice Night: Live comedy generated & improvised on the spot from audience suggestions. Come along to watch the improv fun, or take part, if you’re feeling brave. A fun and friendly environment to find out what all this improv fuss is about.

Full Of Beans: Coventry Improv return with their fan favourite format, an all-inclusive show which is all for charity, and 100% of the donations will make it’s way to the designated charity for the quarter.

Improv Comedy Show: Expect fast paced humour in the style of shows such as ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’ Quick witted players will take your suggestions and use them to create hilarious scenarios, ridiculous characters and many laugh out loud moments for your entertainment.
