Here is a snapshot of all the improv groups based in the Midlands.
There are 27 groups listed here, a slight increase on the 26 groups last time the list was refreshed in 2019. However the list has changed quite a lot, with nine new groups added since the list was last updated: Behind The Headlines, Breakfast Of Champions, The Clones, The Improclaimers, Improvoke, Chewy Improv, The Sisters Karazmatik, LeamProv and Canny Funny. Proof that the improv scene in the Midlands is still going strong despite the problems of the pandemic.

Behind The Headlines is a topical panel show where comedians perform sketches based on recent news stories. Have I Got News For You meets Saturday Night Live in the heart of Birmingham.
Board Game Smackdown is a comedy panel show where comedians play (slightly adapted) board/card/party/tabletop games live on stage.
Breakfast Of Champions use true life stories from a different guest speaker every show to inspire a wide range of cracking comedy scenes.

NICE are the Nottingham Improv Comedy Experience, promoting the art form at special events throughout the year.
The Red Herrings is formed from members of the University of Nottingham Improv Society.

LeamProv are the premier improv group in Leamington Spa, performing regular nights in the town and guesting in festivals across the Midlands.
Canny Funny is a collective of some of the Midland’s funniest improvisers. They take audience suggestions and weave them into sketches, scenes and songs for your entertainment.
